This summer I spent many hours in the Texas heat as an extra during filming of The Chosen. The crew pushed us to keep drinking Gatorade. I never drank so much Gatorade in my life! Why did I drink all that Gatorade, and why is sweating good for you?
Have you ever tried to bargain with God? We can learn from the story of Jephthah in the Bible. We may be tempted to bargain with God but He keeps His promises, including the greatest promise of all, His Son, who offers forgiveness and eternal life for all who believe in Him.
We feel unlovable, unworthy, and broken when we experience rejection. God puts our broken pieces back to together to make something beautiful. We are rejected by others, but accepted by God. Overcome rejection by meditating on the truth in scripture— God sent His beloved Son to die so He could have a relationship with you!

Imagine cornered by the Red Sea in front of you and your armed enemies behind. Only a miracle could save you. God rescued the Israelites by parting the Red Sea and He provides “Red Sea moments” to teach us to trust Him. When confronted with a Red Sea moment, recognize it, surrender, and glorify God.
