When I received a shocking medical diagnosis of cancer, I cried out to the Lord, why are you doing this to me? Didn’t I suffer enough with cancer last time? I felt as if my body betrayed me and I doubted God’s love. However, just because we suffer pain does not mean God doesn’t love us. So, how does God use our pain for good?
When I left home for college, I ran away from God for thirty-one years, wanting the freedom to do as I pleased. However, my plan didn’t work out. While I was running away from God, He was still running after me. Discover the journey I took to trust the good shepherd. And you can do it too.
We feel unlovable, unworthy, and broken when we experience rejection. God puts our broken pieces back to together to make something beautiful. We are rejected by others, but accepted by God. Overcome rejection by meditating on the truth in scripture— God sent His beloved Son to die so He could have a relationship with you!
What is the difference between faith and trust? Do they mean the same thing? Or does one come before the other? Trust is a choice to rely on God and puts our faith into practice. Is God prompting you to do something? Do you have faith to trust God’s plan and take action?
Are you seeking something more? More peace? Joy? Love? Know God loves you with a crazy and everlasting love, even if you think He will never love or forgive you. Satan disguises sin as freedom. Jesus offers true freedom from guilt, shame, death, and slavery to sin. We are truly free in Christ.
