Freedom! When I left home for college, I thought I escaped church and left all the rules and regulations behind. I did not realize I traded those rules and regulations for chains of pride, selfishness, and sin. But God never gave up on me. I finally realized only Jesus sets us free.
“God, you’ve got the wrong person,” I said, when God told me to be a writer. I had a lot of questions. What will I write? Did God really say that? Have you ever felt unequipped to follow God’s plan for you? However, God provides for His plans and prepares us to carry them out.
I worried I would not have enough money to live on during retirement. My mother’s sky-high nursing home bills haunted me. I struggled to have faith in God’s promises to provide. But a painting class taught me to seek God first, trust in Him, and know He supplies what we need.
God entrusts us to share the Gospel. But not only the Gospel, we are entrusted to share our testimonies—how our lives reflect the life of Jesus. What story has God entrusted to you to share so others will see Jesus in you?
