My Favorite Smoothie

Looking for a way to start your day with a complete meal containing protein, fruit and vegetables? Try a smoothie! Replace cereal, toast, bagels and all those highly processed carbohydrates with my favorite smoothie.

Change it up to what you like or what’s on hand. Add your favorite greens such as kale or spinach, and your favorite fruits, such as strawberries, blueberries, banana, or even kiwi or pineapple. The possibilities are endless.

Equipment

  • blender

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk of your choice, or water
  • 1 scoop Sunwarrior Protein Powder, vanilla
  • ¾ cup frozen fruit choose your favorites: sliced banana, frozen berries, grapes, pineapple
  • 1 cup spinach or kale if using chopped greens, 1/2 cup is plenty
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds Use ground flaxseed or another type of seed if preferred
  • 1 tablespoon MCT oil (optional)

Instructions

  • add all ingredients to the blender in the order listed
  • blend until it is the desired consistency

Notes

Optional add-ins:
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1 tablespoon  almond butter, or other nut butter (for extra protein)
a couple of ice cubes if you like it really cold
